I’ve been thinking about writing blogs on all of these topics. Couldn’t flesh them out, so here they all are… Some one asked me the other day, “Toph, who’s you’re hero?” Right now, it’s gotta be Derek Jeter. Over on The Bizzo, Jon and I talked about the bedroom victories of Jeets and John Mayer. Well, Jeets has come through yet again, by adding a Mayer girl, TophSpeaks favorite, Minka Kelly, to his list. Besides that, he’s still the Yankees captain, and a regular visitor to TophSpeaks. For that, Jeets is my hero.
Speaking of The Bizzo, now that we’ve added 2 more writers, I won’t have to spend all my focus over there. I can just focus on running it, and doing the weekly podcasts. Are you listening? You should be. You should subscribe to the iTunes podcast.
I’ve been listening to some new music that you should be aware of. Granted, you probably already know them, but I thought I’d share anyways. State Radio/Dispatch - It’s a slash, because Dispatch broke up and the lead singer became State Radio. Great jam band, a la Dave, OAR, The Slip (for their one fan). The Decemberist - They’re just really good. I can’t figure out who they remind of, but when they rock with the horns and whatnot, it’s great. Spoon - I’m sure you’ve been listening to spoon for some time now, as have I. I just forgot how much I enjoy them till recently. PlayRadioPlay! - If you like The Postal Service and Texas, you’ll like PlayRadioPlay! Vampire Weekend - I KNOW!, but they’re really good, and catchy.
I’ll be in Dallas and in New York back to back from around June 13th to the 24th. Let’s hang out!

You know, Toph, I’ve been thinking…you know the one thing we don’t have in common?
We’re both amazing, we’re both handsome, we’re both incredible womanizers.
But, we have NOT both slept with La Diabla?
I mean, you just alluded to my prowess, right?
You alluded to being proud of me for scoring a Mayer girl.
Well, what could possibly be a better tribute to you and a better conquest for me than getting to lie with your wife?
It would only be fair for me to give you something in return, of course. I’m thinking along the lines of a start at shortstop against the Red Sox and, perhaps, a chance at addressing the team during a closed-door meeting.
Just gimme a ring and we’ll talk about it. You’ve got the number.

jeets - consider that deal done. in fact, if you toss in minka for a night, then game over. toph and jeets… switching places for a night. it’ll be as good as dudley moore and kirk cameron in “like father, like son” or jamie lee curtis and lindsay lohan in “freaky friday.” jeets… this is amazing.
